Softball Bats Come Alive in CVC Win Over Harvey

The West Geauga High School softball team bounced back with a 25-0 win over visiting Harvey on Thursday. The Wolverines offense took a 4-0 lead after the first inning before exploding for 13 runs in the second inning to push the lead out to 17-0. Morgan Atwara hit her first home run of the regular season, a three run-blast to help the cause in the second inning. Atwara finished the game 3-for-3 with six runs driven in. Peyton Gambatese picked up four hits and drove in three runs while Lely Percassi also had three RBI on a pair of hits. In total, seven players in the line-up had at least two hits. West Geauga is back in action on Monday with a trip to Hawken.
